Spend a special evening in the Hannaford family's historic shearing shed and dine out on a progressive feast that features some of Kangaroo Island's best local produce and wines. Dine inside or as nature's guests under the stars with the visiting wildlife. Friday and Saturday nights only 7:00pm to 11:00pm (Limited seating. Cooinda Fishing Charters

The MV Cooinda is a fully surveyed 13 meter Fly Bridge Cabin Cruiser, that operates half day fishing charters from American River. Skippered by an experienced local crew, who will introduce you to the fish rich waters of Eastern Cove, Kangaroo Island. In this clear clean sea dolphins, pelicans and other marine animals compete for your attention. All fishing tackle, and bait is supplied, tea and coffee on board and toilet facilities. COST - Adults: $95 each and Children: (14 years and under) $50 each

Cruising Kangaroo Island Kayak Tours and Hire

We operate accompanied paddles at various idyllic locations around Kangaroo Island. This activity utilises very safe, stable, unsinkable kayaks & requires minimal fitness, making this a must to do. The tours are travelled at a very relaxed pace, to take in the natural beauty, abundant wildlife and stunning scenery. Your local guide has 25 years experience exploring these waters and coastal historical sites. Dolphins, Sea Eagles, Pacific Gulls, Seals, Rock Formations & Crystal clear water are just some of the what you could enjoy along the way! (1 August to 30 May only) 2 hour paddle $55.00 per person, 3 hour paddle $80.00 per person.

Sunset Winery

Purchase a Sunset Savoury Platter (ideal for two people to share) valued at $20 and receive two complimentary glasses of wine. The platter consists of local and regional cheese, water crackers, local olives, semi dried tomatoes and kabana. Best eaten whilst enjoying the 180 degrees sea views of Eastern Cove and beyond.
 

Description

Sit back on the balcony with a glass of our wine and enjoy the magnificent views over the beach and backstairs passage to Cape Jervis. In 1 minute you can walk to the beach for a swim or take the kids to build sandcastles. Watch the dolphins and seals herd salmon in the bay and look out for the occasional whale. Go fishing from the beach or drop a line off the jetty. In a short stroll you can visit the shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries in the township. Or for the quiet life, unwind in our courtyard with a BBQ and woodfire and relax to the sound of waves on the beach.

After sunset look to the beach for the fairy penguin parade, then listen in the backyard for their squawks and cries as they settle for the night. Watch for the nightly nibbling of the wallabies on the lawn.
