For the past twenty years the Hannaford’s privately catered events have only been available for guests staying at Snellings Beach where food has been the focal point of the families KI lifestyle. These offerings have evolved around spoiling guests with eclectic tastes and high expectations. All visitors to KI can now indulge while relaxing in their own accommodation or home while we do the cooking and take your tastes on a journey around the Islands exceptional produce hot spots.

Rachel Hannaford is part owner of Life-time Private Retreats at Snellings Beach (life-time.com.au). Rachel has been a chef on Kangaroo Island for over 10 years and has cooked professionally for over 20 years. Rachel has worked in various leading restaurants in Australia and internationally. Most recently, Sean's Panaroma in Sydney and El Arrayan in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Rachel has also cooked for the Dalai Lama, KD Lang, Mick Jagger and catered for Natasha Stott Despoja's 40th birthday here on Kangaroo Island. With Rachel's family history on Kangaroo Island and experience in the kitchen, she fully understands the obstacles and difficulties in bringing the local island produce to the tourism market on Kangaroo Island.

Sasha Sachs has teamed up with Rachel Hannaford to streamline the distribution, sales, marketing and operational strategies of Hannaford & Sachs. Sasha has over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, which includes working in London, Jamaica, Budapest and various European cities setting up restaurants and running Management development courses.

Together, Rachel and Sasha will deliver a superior product to the Kangaroo Island guests and island residence.

We have put together, an exciting menu that reflects all the wonderful produce available on Kangaroo Island.
